Lecture - Swiss mountain wilderness
Nature on our doorstep holds many surprises and wonders that can only be discovered with a keen eye and the knowledge of their existence. I try to present the wild animals of the Alps to a wider audience with this very view, pointing out their uniqueness and at the same time the fragility of these inhabitants and their habitat.
Moments from the well-camouflaged rock ptarmigan, which changes its entire plumage from white in winter to gray in summer, to the secretive mother lynx with her cubs. In this lecture I talk about my favorite place and my greatest passion - the wildlife of the Alps. I will take you into this habitat, which seems like a last remnant of wilderness in the midst of human-made cultivated land. A wilderness in which countless (survival) artists have developed over the millennia.
In recent years, I have been able to spend most of my free time traveling in the Alps, working on several long-term photographic projects. I am particularly fond of black grouse and have already spent over thirty nights there on vacation and at weekends.
Immerse yourself with me in this unique Alpine habitat, get to know its animal inhabitants and marvel at this beautiful mountain world.
The lecture is a mixture of exciting facts about the animal world and anecdotes from my work as a nature photographer.
