03. & 04. March 2024

March began with a two-day tour in the Alps. Together with March Siegle It all started very promisingly when we were able to observe ibexes and two golden eagles on the first day. However, we ended the tour all the quicker when we woke up on the second day snowed in and in the thickest fog... Nevertheless, it was two wonderful days in nature and March was only going to get better from now on. 

11-17. März 2024

At the end of February, a photographer friend of mine spontaneously asked me if I would like to accompany him on his expedition to Dovrefjell in Norway. Fortunately, I was able to arrange the week and so we set off for a few days in the icy cold of the north. Our main aim was to discover and photograph musk oxen in the snow. These impressive creatures are remnants of the last ice age. They have hardly changed in the last 10,000 years and are perfectly adapted to the Arctic conditions. In winter, they withstand temperatures below minus forty degrees. On my first trip to Norway in June 2022, I was able to observe three musk oxen at a great distance. However, it wasn't enough for photos back then and I was all the more pleased when it worked out this time. Over the course of three days, we were able to spot musk oxen in various conditions and photograph them in the white landscape. Here are some first pictures from the trip. 

21-23. March 2024

We then went on another shoot for the film project. The three of us went to the Swiss Alps to try our luck with the black grouse for the first time this season. In March, the grouse mating season slowly begins again, which I will be filming more of over the next few weeks. This trip was also a complete success and we managed to get several shots that could possibly make it into the movie. Here are some pictures from the shoot.
