Welcome to the monthly review of February 2024
Last month, I once again spent several days in the Swiss mountains. There were also one or two other innovations, which I will briefly discuss in this monthly review.
Have fun reading!
01.-05. February 2024
January began with the end of a great trip with two Polish friends. There were already pictures of these days in January's review. In case you missed it, you can find them here .
We spent the last few days of this trip at various locations in western Switzerland. Among other things, we were able to photograph a rock ibis with its young in front of a beautiful panorama and spot some chamois in the last light of day.
10. – 14. February 2024
In mid-February, the three of us again spent a few days in a Swiss mountain forest, where we went in search of exciting motifs during a shoot for "The Wild Grouse". The landscape in particular, which was freshly covered in snow, showed its most beautiful side. One morning we were also able to successfully observe and film a capercaillie in the fresh snow. Here are some excerpts from the filming...
17. February 2024
After spending most of the beginning of the month in the Alps, things quietened down a bit at the end of the month. This was mainly because I had the handover of the keys to my new office on February 17. Over the last few months, I've realized that my work rhythm at home is going in the wrong direction. So I decided to move my workplace out of my bedroom and now have an office space in St. Gallen. I therefore spent most of the last two weeks of February completing various office tasks that had piled up. I was also able to start a few new projects that I'm really looking forward to. One of them is already public - you'll be able to get exciting insights into my work on my new YouTube channel. You can find the link here.
Upcoming in March
The mating season for grouse slowly begins again in March. I will therefore be spending most of the next three months in the Alps, where I will be working on the film project. I'm really looking forward to this time and can hardly wait to observe the courtship display of the black grouse at daybreak and hopefully capture it in impressive shots. Very spontaneously, I'm also going to Norway for a few days in March, where I'll be looking for musk oxen with two photographer friends. I hope you'll find out in next month's review whether we were successful and I'd be delighted if you were here again then!
Thank you very much for reading, Levi
